Sleep tight..
In 1833 the Australian Agricultural Co acquired land on the Liverpool Plains which was named “Warrah Station” and later established its western run as “Windy Station”. During 1900 it was decided that “Warrah Station” woolshed could no longer handle the number of sheep being shorn and so the undertaking to build a larger woolshed on the “Windy Station” portion was agreed. In 1901 the woolshed was complete and at the same time, the Shearers Quarters were built to house the many hands on deck required for the mammoth task of shearing. This space is also used for our large group of contractors when harvest is in full swing. The Shearers Quarters is a unique place to stay on your next visit to the Liverpool Plains. Steeped in history and a magical landscape, we cater for larger groups and can accommodate 23 people over three buildings. If you are attending an event at Windy Woolshed, a local wedding, conference or just keen to bring a bunch of friends, please stay with us. You won’t regret it
